FOTD #1

Hi!
I'm really sorry I haven't written a blog post in ages (the past two were written by Ruby), but I have been working on a separate secret project *ooh how exciting* for our blog, and all my spare time has been spent on that. But I'm back with something new, so lets get started!!

Products used:
- Benefit POREfessional Primer (sample) (Universal)
- Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer (Shade - Ivory)
- Laura Mercier Invisible Loose Setting Powder (Universal)
- Bare Minerals Matte SPF Foundation (Shade - light W15)
- Soap & Glory Archery Brow Tint and Pencil (Shade - Brownie Points)
- Maybelline Great Lash Clear Brow and Lash Gel
- Elf Brightening Eyeliner (Shade - Black)
- Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm
- Benefit They're Real Mascara
- Real Techniques Buffing Brush
- Real Techniques Detailer Brush
- Eyeko Velvet Lash Curlers

I went for a quite a natural look today as I couldn't be bothered with eye-shadow and I was only going over to my friends house.
To change it up a bit and add some oomph to my normal make up I lined the outer half of my eye with my eyeliner and used my detailer brush to smudge it out. This gave it a nice smokiness without looking too done up. The Nuxe lip balm is absolutely amazing. It is a bit pricey for a lip balm but I only use it in the morning and it lasts at least 3-4 hours on my lips so it's worth it!! It's also perfect for going underneath lipstick as it acts as a sort primer allowing a smoother application and longer staying power. If I wanted to smarten up this look a bit I would add my MAC Cremesheen Lipstick in Creme Cup, which Ruby very kindly bought for me for my last birthday. It's a gorgeous pinky nude that's perfect all year round.

*Shirt - TopShop *Vest Top - Marks and Spencer's
Such a poser!!

Thanks for reading and we'll see you soon!! I'm going to Cornwall on Thursday so expect a rather long blog post on that!!

I hope you found this of some use, and if not.. oh dear.

Enjoy! X

Soap & Glory : Smoothie Star Collection

This post is all about Soap & Glorys Smoothie Star Collection! it's going to be a review and just a general talk about this range, because I love it! Within the Soap & Glory range, there are lots of scent and the scents then usually have a body wash, body butter and scrub. This ranges price varies from £8.00 to £10.50. Much like the others this range consists of a body butter, a exfoliating scrub and a light body milk/lotion.

I love this range, because of the scent. The scent of this range is almond, cocoa, yogurt, oats and honey! Its a sweet yet sort of nutty scent. I personally think it smells like canadian maple syrup and pecans or maple and pecan cake!I adore this scent, because it reminds me of maple and pecan cake, which reminds me of my grandma, because me and my mum made her maple and pecan cake for her birthday! Its a sweet yet sort of nutty scent.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body lotion - £10.00

This prduct confused me quite a bit! Now don't laugh, but I originally thought this was a body wash, because it is in the usual bottle like other body washes from soap and glory. The funny thing is that it makes a pretty good body wash and lotion. It lathers up and because of the milky texture it's so moisturising when wet and dry. I have only used this product as a body lotion a dozen times. But I would say that this is a average body lotion. It does the job and smells amazing!

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Breakfast Scrub - £8.00

I love this product, it is pretty much the perfect scrub! I use this scrub on my legs and it just polishes them off and preps them for body butter. It is also perfect for preping your legs for shaving, because it gets rid of dead skin and smoothes your skin out. It is a fairly gentle exfoliant, but it is heavily scented, so not perfect for really sensitive skin.

Soap & Glory Smoothie Star Body Buttercream - £10.50

This is definatley not the worse body butter i have used but it is not the best either. I would say that this is a slighty more thick version of the other body lotion. It has a mousse texture, which doesn't make it that much if a rich body lotion, more of a creamy one which makes it nice for summer. But this product was a bit of a disappointment for me!

Hope you found this post helpful and interesting, if not well...... you should have!

Fathers Day.

Fathers day.

As you probably know, last Sunday was father's day. My sister, dad and I had a really nice day and I thought I would share what we did. I suppose this is kind of a cafe review as well, but it was such a nice day I just had to write about it!!

The first thing we did was go out for breakfast, with my friend Forest (see previous blog post) and her family. The cafe was called Pretty's, and I'm sorry I don't have a picture of the outside but they were re-doing their front so it didn't look great.
The inside was really nice and cosy with adorable quotes all over the walls. Here are a few pictures:

I had an Egg Royal which was sooooo good!! My sister had Eggs and Soldiers, Forest's little sister had a Croissant with Jam, Forest had Scambled Eggs on Toast, my Dad had Bacon and Spinach Benedict, and Forest's mum had a Full English. It was all really good and we will definatley be going back!!

We then walked around East Dulwich and popped into a few shops. I wasn't allowed to take pictures in most of the them but I got a few shots in this super cute vintage shop.

And of course, a day out with my Dad wouldn't be complete with out a stop at Starbucks. I was soooooo happy to see that they had brought back the Mocha Cookie Crumble, and brought out a Coconut Mocha frappucino!! I had to get it, and I can tell you, it is like drinking a liitle bit of heaven!

We then went to my Dad's friend house, but guess what, I left the camera at home!! *congratulates herself for being so generally amazing*.

But there you go, my Father's Day. Hope you liked those pictures and that you had a lovely day as well.

Enjoy!

Neutrogena Visibly Clear : Review

Neutrogena Visibly Clear : Review

Neutrogena is one of our favourite skincare brands. Their visibly clear range is designed for spot prone skin. There's a variety of different cleansers, exfoliants and moisturises to suit different skin types. All great at soothing, clearing, cleansing and reducing problematic skin. We own quite a few products from the range, and thought we would share our favourites!!!

We own the Pink Grapefruit Cream Wash, Pink Grapefruit Oil-free Moisturiser, Pore and Shine Daily Scrub, 2-in-1 Wash and Mask.

This was both of our first ever skincare product, and to this day we still love it. It great for mornings and before you go to school because the scent is a great pick-me up and you instantly feel awake. It's a very creamy texture and is great for dry skin.

The oil-free factor is great for the teenage oily t-zone, and helps reduce spots. It has a very light weight  formula and doesn't block your pores. It's a great first moisturiser for those new to skincare, and is great paired with the matching cream wash.

THIS.IS.AMAZING. It actually does what it says on the tin! It mattifies  the skin and gives you a gorgeous, healthy glow. It clears your pores and keeps your skin visibly clear (skincare joke). It has an amazing scent of tangerine and lime. Perfect.

We got this as a recommendation from Essiebutton (one of our favourite you tubers, go check her out!). If Essiebutton loves it, you'll love it. We find it's better as a face wash than a mask. Although when using it as a mask it does leave your skin feeling a lot cleaner and is a really face mask as you only leave it on for 5 minutes.

There we go our review of the Neutrogena Visibly Clear! Hope you get some helpful tips!

A day out in Brighton.

A day out in Brighton.

During the half term, I went to Brighton with our friend Lottie, and Ruby was going to come but she went to Cornwall (see last blog post). I will be going to Cornwall at the beginning of the summer holidays so I shall do a blog post on that as-well!

We drove down to Brighton, which I'd never done before, as I had always got the train. We parked near the north lanes which I had never seen before, there were more independent shops and boutiques. It was super cute we found these adorable necklaces.

We came across this little cake shop and popped in for a bite to eat. I had a chocolate brownie, and Lottie had an oreo cupcake *drools at the thought*.

Oh look, we found Lush!! *gasps in surprise*

This made me laugh!!

After a day of shopping and strolling through the lanes, we went for dinner in a Vietnamese restaurant called Pho. Here's what we had to eat:

I opted for the Spicy Green Mango Salad topped with Pork, Dried Shrimp and Peanuts. I also had an Apple, Mint and Lime juice.

Lottie had a Pho Chay, which was a noodle soup with Tofu and Button Mushrooms. She had a Carrot, Apple and Ginger Juice.

After we had our meal, we took a stroll down the seafront, but the weather wasn't great and it started to rain so we retreated to the car :) .

Sorry that this was so long, but I hope you liked it!!

Enjoy! X
